22 over 7

twenty two . . .
when I realized that everything must be re-read every seven years . . .

oh holy hell, I have to come back and work on this later, I just almost lost it

my take on those last two (interpret it after the fact)

So I have these two symbols tattooed on me...

In the blue neptune symbol that is on the right, it is as if my soul is embracing matter... The soul is open very wide, and the matter extends extra far to be embraced...

In the red mercury symbol on the left, it is as if my soul is battling the matter. The spirit is in the middle, being pulled in two opposite directions. I think it is important to point out that the matter is trying to bring the spirit (and the soul) DOWN...

This makes for an interesting comparison to having possessions, and whether it is good or bad for your soul. In some ways, having a lot of familiar objects around you, arranged in a certain way... this makes you feel as though you are home. It adds comfort to your space, enhances the environment for your soul to dwell in...

But every once and a while, I feel this great urge to get rid of as many things as I can, to scrape it down to the absolute bare minimum. This is mostly because owning all of these things, having to maybe move all of this stuff, it brings my soul down. It is a heavy burden to carry, both literally in a physical sense, and emotionally in a metaphorical kind of way... all of this shit I re-owned is bringing me down a bit.

"Here we have the crescent of soul, and very wide at that, above the cross of matter. In fact the cross kind of extends up and is embraced or enclosed by the crescent."

"The symbol for Mercury is threefold: the circle of spirit, crowned with the soul of the crescent and carrying the cross of matter beneath. The crescent receives from above, and the cross of matter tugs from below. The circle of spirit is what they are both connected to."
